2007 is just around the corner, and there are several issues to consider if you currently have an Health Savings Account (HSA), or are planning on getting one in the near future.
100% of the deposit you place in your HSA is deductible on your federal income taxes. All but four states also make HSA contributions tax-deductible on state income taxes. If you are looking to reduce your 2006 tax burden and put away more money for retirement, your HSA is the first place you should put your money if you have not yet maximized your contribution.

None of us know what life has install for us so we are completely in the dark when it comes down to making the decision as to whether or not we will actually physically need health insurance. What we have to look at is the level of risk and whether or not we are prepared to perhaps put our lives on the line not having adequate health insurance cover!

Nothing is worse, when on vacation or travel abroad than a medical crisis that you are unable to deal with. It is wise to protect yourself buy purchasing travel insurance which at the very least will give you a level of security in those circumstances.

You almost have to take out a loan to pay for health insurance these days. Even if your company pays for half or more of your premium, a premium for a family still runs at least two to three hundred dollars a month. This is ridiculous, especially for people that do not visit the doctor very often.
